I bet that you have not left a wedding without receiving a wedding favor of some sort.  Ok, let me rephrase that.  I bet that the bride and groom intended on giving you a favor but whether you left the event with it or not may be up for debate.

Why is that?  Why are favors given in the first place and what are some of the reasons guests leave them behind ?

Wedding favors can be seen in recorded history back in the 16th century.  However in Europe, especially France and Italy they were commonly called "bonbonnieres" or "bomboniere".  These were not just given for weddings, but at parties, birthdays and other celebrations the hostess/host would present a small gift to their guests.  Back then, it was common to give small hand made crafts like ribbons made of lace or silk.  More commonly, sweet treats were given in small boxes as those were much more rare than sweets are today.

I remember many a wedding where the wedding favor or bonbonierres were Jordan Almonds, those pastel colored albums in hard coated shells and wrapped in small tulle pockets tied with ribbon.  I guess the old traditions have not changed that much or have they.

Favors follow the traditions of the ones giving them, old family traditions passed down through the generations which could have religious or nationality ties.  Today, there are many forms that favors can take whether in a food item or something more tangible or practical.  Some favors are displayed as part of the table setting for each guest with a decorative card or message thanking the guests for being there to celebrate the joyous occasion.  Other events will have a favor table for the guests to take a favor when they either enter the reception room or before they leave for the night.   If the favor is taken as entering the room, they may have a message or table assignment specific to that person.

The brides generally handle the favor selection and put alot of time and concern into choosing the right item for their favor.  Some brides choose something symbolic to the couple, or something hand made, or an item tied to the venue or theme of the wedding/reception and some provide an edible treat.  Well edible treats are more economical than other favors, they are eaten and gone in less than a minute with no reminders or anything to show for it but an empty wrapper.  Some items are simply left behind by the guests because they have no use for it and then you are stuck with several favors that were not taken.

So favors that can double as place settings, decorative in nature, or double as table assignment or escort cards would be a practical and useful favor.  Photo frames, like the one shown below, can fit that role perfectly and are available in black glass, acrylic block or our most popular, silver aluminum 2x6 photo strip frames.  If you are budget conscious with your favors, then acrylic L, T, or magnetic frames may be more in line.  Customize a special inserted slip with personal message to your guests and you have a favor that will be sure to be taken and not left behind.

Our Frame at wedding

Today is Saturday 11/29/14 - just the day after Black Friday and 2 days after Thanksgiving.  Busy week eating, shopping, and you want to sit back and relax this weekend.

American Express launched this concept several years ago to give back to the small business owners out there in your towns, villages, and cities.

Small businesses are the heart beat to your community, town, and city - they are the runs that employ the most people over all but maybe only a few people at a location.  They are the ones that fix your car and appliances, your small restaurants, small thrift shops and unique stores and they can also be the online businesses as well.  Sure, their reach is greater, but they are facing the same challenges that small businesses face at a bricks n mortar store front - getting the word out about their products and services.

As a small business owner, we are always in search of new products, new resources and to improve upon the service we provide to our customers.  Small businesses have to make those tough decisions involving marrketing or paying into the operations.

Our small business started this past January as a result of my wife and I getting married and finding a market gap for future brides, parents, and companies in finding designer frames for photo booth strip pictures and we branched out to find quality leather albums to add to our inventory.  We are always in search for something new to offer our customers and one day we will be 1 Stop Photo Booth Shop, where all your photo booth needs will be found under one "roof" or website.

We hope you are supporting small businesses in your area today or online - Happy Shopping and Happy Holidays.

Remember the Reason for this joyous Season.

Congratulations - you opted to rent a photo booth for your _____ (fill in the blank).

Now how do you make the experience even better for your guests - by offering them a practical favor so they can showcase their memories in a photo strip frame at their homes and offices.

Whether your budget is tight or lavish - there are several varieties of photo strip frames that you can select for your guests.

Some favors like vinyl magnetic strips or vinyl book markers can run you pennies per each item and are especially great ideas for children's parties or school events where children are involved.  Stepping up just slightly are the paper frames with nice insert messages.

Moving up the cost chain, there are acrylic frames in L, T and magnetic photo strip designs that can run you about $1-1.25 per frame.  These are great economical options for weddings, mitzvahs, quinces, sweet 16's, holiday parties, corporate events and fundraisers or just to hand out for grand openings or promotional purposes (especially the magnets as this is a great marketing tool that will stick around on the family refrigerator for quite some time).

Want something more designer or chic'?  How about special designed photo booth strip 2x6 frames that come in silver aluminum, black glass, or thick acrylic block frames?  These frames are ideal for wedding favors with a higher budget for favors or for those that want a favor that will serve a practical or dual purpose.  Dual purpose meaning these frames can be used by the bride as place settings, table decorations and end up as nice frames at the guests' home or office.  Price range on frames like these, about $6-8 per photo strip frame.

Looking for something more lavish for your wedding guests?  Maybe you want a gift idea for your brides maids, Maid of Honor, or even the parents of the bride and groom.  A larger frame that can keep a 4x6 photo of a tender moment of you with them and a 2x6 strip frame for a special message or poem just for them.  Frames like these (shown below) generally are priced at $10-12 per frame. Great keepsake for displaying and they can switch out the photo and place something from the photo booth, or they may wish to keep it just the way you presented it to them.
